Bluehost and Magento 2 = NO
So anyone tried getting Magento 2 running on Bluehost? It has been a very painful experience. Magento 2 itself is painful so it is no surprise really, but having such a big webhost with an auto installer that installs version 1.9.1 released over a year ago really?
I have spent hours with their tech support and trying to get it running faster than a snail, and just had constant issues. They don't even bother to have a page on their site how to install magento 2 with their servers, I guess they are ignoring the magento market? Here was a real chat with their tech support:

I could see that you have a shared plan so there so is no servers path
You need to have a servers access to get a servers path

how can I do this then?
magento 2 requires it

I have tried 2 methods for magento 2 installation, command line with composer
and downloading the zip and then running the web wizard, neither will work
T
Did you try to install by mojo or manually ?
K
your web installer is stuck at 1.9.1 - that is over 2 years old
(mojo you call it)
T
Php version is already set to PHP 7.0
K
we need 2.2.2, is that available somehow?
it is, but it does not work for command line, see here:
